The Focused - Kiwi Expressions (HinoKit)

Concept sketches I commissioned from hino-kit(hinokit.tumblr.com/) to depict Kiwidinok, one of the protagonists of my original fantasy novel project, The Focused. Kiwi is a brown-skinned girl of 15 years who descends from a race inspired by Native American peoples. She carries the wind of Focused Hearing, in which she can heighten the abilities of her Ears by tuning out her other senses. She lost her eye during an ambush, so she has a lack of depth perception, but her Focused Hearing makes up the difference.

This project is being co-developed alongside a mirroring fanfiction called 'Mud, Sweat, and Tears', an Avatar: TLA story set in a Katoph AU where Aang and Sokka die during the Battle of Sozin's Comet. You can read the first chapter of that version here.
