Jun is a Chinese gal, a sophomore music major who was born blind. Raised in a rich, traditionalist family by over-protective parents, she developed a bit of a rebellious streak toward the end of high school, and now that she's in college (a college her parents didn't want her attending, no less) she often embraces her independence despite her lack of sight. She can be fairly arrogant and cocky, and often hormonal and inconsiderate of those around her. However, she can also be very steady and stubborn, sticking up for what she believes in.

She is at once comfortable and confident in who she is, but can lack faith in those around her and worries that she is not being perceived as she means to be. In other words, she feels quite happy with who she is as a person for the most part, but feels like the world and the people around don't accept her or appreciate her for who she really is, which results in lashing out or shelling up and avoiding. She can have trouble expressing herself in traditional means, and relies on her natural talent with music to express her real feelings and thoughts. She is inspired by Toph from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

I really like this intereptation for a modern version of Toph. I like that you took into consideration some of the limits a blind woman would have, since in real world it's harder to function without sight. I do like that you kept most of her personality, but made her maybe bit more fustrated, because in modern setting Toph wouldn't have her powers which really help a lot with how badass and boyish she is in canon. Her insecurities make sense and so does her rebelling against her parents. I love that you didn't make her into an amazing martial artist/athelete, since her blindness would be bigger limit, but her becoming musically talented and actually getting interested in it in the first place makes total sense, since it's something where you don't need sight at all. I can actually imagine canon Tophs parents trying to make her interested of music, but because she has her powers, she isn't all that interested and is deliberately bad to the point her parents stop trying. Juniper is also pretty good name for modern Toph, since her mother is named Poppy in canon and in the passport her name is written as "supported lotus" or something. I also like how you made Toph and Meng cousins, since it's nice joke about them having the same voice actress. I also like how Meng got renamed Saffron, since it fits with the plant names like Juniper.

The autumn outfit is great looking. I'm just wondering as to what that thing is she has on her head, since it looks like a hat, but her ponytail seems to be coming through it, so is it more of a bandana or something else?

The recital outfit does seem to be something modern versions of her parents would choose, since they did dress her in fancy outfits in canon. The dress is very pretty and stylish, but I can see Juniper not liking it all that much, because she does seem to have more casual and comfortable style.

The homecoming dress is really pretty and obviously much more Junipers own style, I like the green color and the golden flowers. The braids and the flower in her hair is pretty cute style and reminds me of the hairstyle canon Toph wore at Boscos birthday party. I also like the simple silver necklace.

I like that her winter outfit looks so warm and comfortable, since as a blind person Juniper probably would consider being warm more important that looking great in winter. She just probably asked help in picking matching jacket and pants and called it done when she found the right size.

The spring outfit is really basic and comfortable. I do like her hairstyle, since while her hair wouldn't bother her if it got in her face, she probably likes the way it feels when she uses a hairband and I like those little braids she has.

She does kind of look like a rock star in that outfit. I really like her hat and I love that you used the same/similar flower with this as you did with the homecoming hairstyle. I can actually imagine the midriff baring top, the torn jeans and the black skull on the shirt being totally rebellious on Junipers part and that she chose them deliberately to show off her parents that she can make decisions by herself and that she has the right to wear what ever she wants.

The swimsuit is really cute and I do think that she would feel more comfortable in a swimsuit rather than a bikini, because while she doesn't see it, she would be used to thinkin exposed stomach as underwear feeling and she might even worry about the bikinis being too revealing. I like that you put her hair in a ponytail to keep it out of her way, since wet hair clings everywhere. The water wings are cute and make sense, since Toph can't swim and Juniper probably isn't much better.

I like that the default outfit is so comfortable looking and I really like how Juniper could actually mix and match all of her tops together for different combinations.

I'm kind of wondering why Juniper likes green, since the earth kindom default colors don't really work in a modern au. If her parents told her she looked great in green she might rebel and never wear green again, so why did she choose green? Did she like a story where character wore green clothes or heard about some color meanings/associations and chose green clothes based on that?

I really like Junipers grumpy expression in this character sheet, it's such a Toph expression. I actually like that you didn't use the super huge cheesy grin Toph often has in canon, since it would look really out of place with Juniper because óf the description about her personality.
